Have you ever called the phone number on the advert you see written with a chalk on walls almost everywhere these days? Recently, such writing on the wall appeared on a nearby
compound's wall. When I saw the advert, it got me thinking, how come people still get to complain of unemployment? On a second thought, I get to wonder what Jobs these adverts offer. Heard someone saying it could be an advert for a Job in a hotel or probably at a factory or a school. Really, have you ever tried calling any phone number displayed on these adverts? Here's a friend's experience.
Mr. Frank in a quest to get a Job called one of these numbers displayed on an advert, going by what he said, he called one requesting for teachers, on calling the number, a man picked up the phone and directed him to come to a particular school venue in the Eastern part of Nigeria where he resides at precisely 9:am for the teaching interview. He got all excited on hearing this. On the day of the interview, it was quite unfortunate for Frank that he had no ironed shirt to wear, he waited for a while to see if electricity will be restored, all to no avail. At exactly 8:45 am, he had to leave the house with his wrinkled shirt to prevent arriving late, he rushed off to the venue hoping and praying that the interviewers wouldn't notice his appearance. According to Frank, he got to the venue at 9:30 am, seeing people outside, he felt he arrived very late. After about 10 minutes, a lady came outside and ushered everyone in. Frank said he was actually surprised to see a very big hall with seats arranged like that of a gathering for a seminar, to his utmost surprise, he was right, an elegant looking lady came out and addressed them on the life history of Dangote, Bill gate, and how they became rich. lol..
What an Interview! Frank mentioned that the Lady was an eloquent speaker and that everyone listened to her with rapt attention and they all seem to have forgotten about the interview. In the end, the speaker was talking about a networking business. But Frank sef, what were you thinking? An advert written on the wall with a chalk? lol
The strategy used by some of these networking companies to get customers can be very funny. Ever had a funny experience with this? Ever called the number on an advert or probably that of a Job vacancy? Share your experience with us in the comment box below.
